And the group gets bigger and bigger!

That's us at Ocean Park. And since Ni_ _ i and _ad_ad are complaining that they have been refreshing 28409283 times and they don't see new posts, I have decided to blog. And in case you are still harboring hopes of seeing Valerie's posts, I think you can just give up.

So, 8 things:

1. In our bed as the sun rises. Chatting overnight about others' vices. Overnight we couldn't stop our blabber. At 6.30am we fell into slumber.

2. I think I really have talent for poetry. We heard our angmoh neighbours coming home at 5am. No wonder we NEVER see them around.

3. We had dinner at Toastbox and it was OMGGGGGG touching. We ate prata, laksa and nasi lemak. It almost brought tears to my eyes. And we topped that up with a Milo Dinosaur OMGGGGGG. If I could post the picture I would. But I can't because it's in my camera and I am lazy to upload the photo.

4. 'Mama' locked herself out of her own room and had to pay HKD$5 to get someone to open it for her. Plus, when it rains, Mama's chin hurts. Or when her chin hurts, it rains. Depends on how you see it.

5. I bought 25 angry birds. And K_k X_a_ the dirty boy says they are all males. So dirty!!

6. Sir's nightmare is...really a nightmare.

7. When someone calls you 'Cedrick' or 'Lowe', it implies that he doesn't remember who you are. If someone follows up by asking if you are going to LKF, it implies that he suspects he knew you when he was drunk.

8. I made a South African friend! WHOOHOO.

Let me end off with a poem:

Off to Kat O Island we go,
Together everyone, friend or foe.
Tonight we shall sleep early,
So you can see your seafood clearly.

Mama please bring along your specs,
Kevin and Madmad bring their caps.
Samson in his Old Navy,
Sir as usual, looking heavy.
Dave and Nikki bring sunblock
Seagulls appear in a flock.
Wake up earlier, Valerie
Oriana can go for free!
Oh, what time will we be back?
It don't matter--KX's clad in black.
Charles be there, or would he not?
We don't care, he's not very hot.

Absent from the above poem,
Is our dearest poor old Renand.
Never been to Kat O before,
Yet has to return back to 'Singapore'.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA OMG.

The most artistic shot of Macau in my camera.

Greetings you who camp in front of your com and refresh this page once every 0.19308102 seconds (you know who you are, N_kk_ and M_d M_d). Here are the 8 things for this installment!

1. Catch-phrase of the month is "I don't care" (pronounced eye-row-ed-kareeee). Credits to Cheung, 2011.

2. I love Macau cuz it's so small! We can walk around the place without a map and not get lost. Plus cabs are as cheap as chocolate chips. We cabbed 6 times in total and it only cost us SGD$4 each. Cheap like mad. I don't mean you, Mad.

3. We finally got to watch the TV for one night. And I misssssssss watching the TV. Though I love to morning call people at 9am.

4. Moisturizer is to be applied sparingly. Ahem.

5. So is sunblock. Ahem.

6. We went to Zhu Hai! And we were afraid of being robbed and caught by kidnappers who will cut our limbs. But none of that happened.

7. And we went back to class. Myron coughed and we thought...something might happen to him. But fortunately it didn't. I'm beginning to like him more.

8. This ABC borrowed a pen from me. I felt happy for a moment. Still, he's not angmoh, and I can't believe that after 3 weeks, I still have not made an angmoh friend. ABCs are like mudbloods. Where are the pure ones.

Other random tidbits which are not included in 8 things, because I want to keep to 8 things, yet I want to tell you all about it.

- We finally found GAGA.
- We love grocery shopping!
- We're going to Ocean Park tomorrowwwwwww!
- But it's raining now!
- OHOH We went to Lan Kwai Fong. WHAHAHAHAHHAHA. And I experienced my first ever ladies night HAHA. But it's just lights and loud music and we had to shout to each other.
- There are lots of spiders in the toilet but the auntie cleared them away.

Woohoo I think I should sleep now. It's way past bedtime!

So far, so good.

Waisin bringing our friends around. I helped them take this picture!

8 things:

1. Our professor says "有电, 没电, 没电, 有电, 来电!!" when he didn't switch his mic on.

2. Our class is divided into 2 sides: The Asian side and the Angmoh side. The Asian side consists of our coursemates from Mainland China. The Angmoh side consists of Angmohs and ABCs. I sit at the Asian side but my heart leans towards the Angmoh side. Either way, we haven't made any friends, much less Angmoh friends.

3. Valerie bought tissue packets for me and they smell like Jasmine flower. We sniff it like we sniff glue. Kidding lah, we don't sniff glue. We sniff tissue.

4. The Gong Cha here is bigger and cheaper than in SG. When we go out in a group, I make everyone buy then I get 10 stamps and drink the free one.

5. We just realised we have been walking up from the 7th floor to the 8th floor and taking the lift down one floor to get to our tutorial room, which is on the 7th floor. We would have continued doing that if we didn't find out today.

6. I am sick of Pork Cutlet rice really. The fish tastes like pork. The chicken tastes like pork. Everything in the canteen tastes like pork. And the rice they give is "like a padi field" (Lai, 2011).

7. Plus, the canteen auntie never understands what I want. I want noodles and I get rice. I speak English to them and they tell me "You can speak English to me. I can understand.", while I give the ?!?!??!-I-am-freaking-speaking-English-?!?!?!??! look.

8. We love grocery shopping but not laundry washing. Somemore must wait till wee hours to wash clothes every night. Super sian.

Finally, the interesting post arrives.

Aren't you glad I'm blogging and not (boring Valerie)? I know you have been waiting for THE MOMENT. HERE IT IS!

Photo of the Day(s): My surprise 21st birthday party.
From top: Renand, Dave, Prince Charles, Mohammad Kok Xuan.
2nd row: Nikki, Oriana, Elizabeth, Sir, Mad Mad, Me
Birthday girl: Valerie.

Okay I know it doesn't look like my birthday at all but I'm super duper happy that I didn't have to spend my birthday alone. Or worse, with Valerie.

8 things:

1. Thank you all for the birthday video. It's the most awesome video I've ever received, because it's the only video I've ever received anyway. But I'm going to watch it every night before I sleep. That is, if I can stay awake to watch. We have been coming home so late every night and we have so many things to do eg. wash clothes, dry clothes (which takes 1 hour assuming no one is hogging the washing machine), hand wash things which cannot be washed using the washing machine etc. Sooooooooo ma fan. But the point is thank you all for the video!! Esp @Valerie Tan. Oh, this is not facebook.

Pris's Birthday from wanxiang on Vimeo.

For your viewing pleasure. HAHA.

2. Thank everyone for the "surprise party". It was the most surprising party I've ever had, despite the fact that I heard Kok Xuan and Renand's voice when I was showering. Hahahaha. But still it's a surprise, and I'm so so so so so so so omega thankful. Thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks.

3. The school organised a tour for us to the Avenue of Stars, Stanley Market and the Peak. But we have been to most of these places in the week we were in HK and nobody walks around Stanley Market in such a weather so we ended up eating everywhere we went. Sat in Starbucks to chill when we were at Avenue of Stars, ate New York Fries at the Peak. Super nice!

4. Met Waisin today! Super happy! I haven't seen him for 1903819028301 years already. We went to his house and he treated us to some HK local delights. So nice of him!

5. Finally got to experience indigestion! There's always a first!

6. Ate pigeon too! At the random roadside zi char stall.

7. I suddenly remember I have 3 chapters of readings to do.

8. We finally finished the lettuce in the fridge! :D THREE CHEERS.

Today is (finally) my turn to update! Wheee!

Disclaimer: Any resemblance to any object living or dead is purely coincidental. Really.

28/6/2011
1. The 12 course meal at Hong Sing Restaurant was great. The food was so much that the auntie had to FORCE us to eat them. Oh, and the aircon drips. BUT, it rotates, one person at a time.

2. The star dish of that dinner was: chicken with a head. As mentioned by Louis.

3. We didn't go clubbing cause the club can't even handle me right now.

4. We met new friendS. One of them is called Rinand (not past tense).

29/6/2011
1. We finally had our first lesson! It is so interesting. Our prof, I mean. He is older than our grandfather(s), almost a centenarian. And he ended his lecture with "We'll just see what comes tmr". That is, if tmr even comes.

2. OFF asked: What do you call people who are 100 years and above?
Me: Huh? You mean they have a name?
OFF: Ya! They have a term!
Me: -thinks- 老不死。Or maybe Myron? (name changed to protect identity)

Now you know it's called a Centenarian.

3. Someone called OFF at 1.26am, when we both were 1/3 asleep. We're not telling you who.

4. His name is Save (name changed to protect identity).

5. We bought a Spongebob bag that came with a free magazine. Or can be the other way round, depends on how you see it.

6. We have really really REALLY nice friends who lend us a magic mop and wrapped our books for us.

7. Our room is so smooth now that it can beat Kallang Ice Skating Rink.

30/6/2011
1. Our really nice friend also lent us washing powder to wash our clothes. We wana change room mates.

2. We are really not cut out for staying in hostels. We forgot to look our room while doing laundry. But no fear, we have come up with a revised system to ensure we lock our room.

3. We may not be going to Guangzhou anymore cause some of our friends are afraid of being baked (verb changed to protect identities).

4. Our prof took one hour to cover ONE point on ONE ppt slide today. And he still has 9 more points and maybe 50 more slides. We still have nine more lessons. Okay, joking. And he only cares abt students from Mainland.
